CC3 Challenge...........Simple Beautiful Life..

CC3 Challenge #30 is Underway!!

Time for the 30th challenge in this journey through Tim Holtz’s A Compendium of Curiosities, Vol. 3!  Faux Cracked Glass techniques, Open up your copy of A Compendium of Curiosities, Vol.3 to page 54 for the instructions, and remember, no sharing them on your blog. This challenge is for those who have supported Tim by purchasing his book.

My take on the crackle glass technique! This was fun!! Although I could have gone crazy embellishing this frame I felt it best to go along with my "simple"quotes and keep it simpler. I started out with a tag I made recently that I just loved and thought this was a great way to make a beautiful piece to hang in my studio!
I love the way this turned out!

I used an old Ikea frame and painted it with the eroded metal technique.

Added some adorable crackled and stained TH bottles

Closer look at bottles..They are so fun!

added a bird on a chain distressed with black soot marker and peeled paint distress paint

Life is Simply Beautiful from Tim's chit chats added and a small crackle glass bottle on top!

My crackled glass close up...shhhh cant tell how I did it..You just have to get the book and turn the page to 54!!
I used many products on this most of which came from my TH collections!

Still time to enter and win!
Win a Special Prize from Tim and MarioAfter the challenge closes, they will select a “Curiosity Crew’s Choice” winner who will receive a goody box of Tim’s products, courtesy of Tim himself and Mario Rossi!

The Funkie Junkie Boutique is back to sponsor Challenge 30, and sweet Linda Coughlin, the Funkie Junkie herself, has a fabulous $25 shopping spree for one very lucky CC3Cer! For a chance to win, be sure to link to The Funkie Junkie Boutique in your blog post!

  1. Hey Jenn...your faux crackled glass frame is beautiful! Way to combine Tim techniques here! I love the eroded metallic technique on the frame itself. It looks fabulous when coupled with the faux crackled glass. Your little vials that you've added as embellishments to the frame are spot on perfect! I adore the crackled glass on the frame itself. That looks so cool with your colorful stamped background and sentiment. The metal embellishments, including the bits of chain (I always LOVE chains) and the little bird charm are perfect embellishments! Thanks so much for sharing with us at CC3C. <3 Candy
