Mermaid Album Cover for Blank Page Muse Stamps

Hello, and thank you for visiting my page today! Blank Page Muse Stamps has a new challenge every month and this months theme is "Let's go to beach". Since I am heading to the beach for a few days with a friend this month I wanted to create an album to put pictures from my trip in. What is better than a mermaid for a beach themed project?
I wanted her to appear as though she is under water so I also used bubbles on my background.
To enter our monthly challenge for a chance to win some awesome prizes please click on the picture and follow the link below!

I used the following stamps from Blank Page Muse:

Other products used:
blank album cover
white gesso
clear glue
Embossing ink pad
Black Archival Ink pad
Clear embossing powder
Distress Inks
Art Anthology Ice Spray
Watercolor pencils
Dew Drops
Stickers (shells and lettering)

Easy steps to create this project:
1. Apply a coat of white gesso on the album cover and allow it to dry.
2. Use the water drops stamp randomly using embossing ink.
3. Apply clear embossing powder to the water drops (bubbles) and heat set with a heat tool.
4. Use a blue distress ink to add color. I used a combination of Mermaid Lagoon and Salty Ocean.
5.Spray with water to activate the distress ink and move it around. Dry with heat tool.
6. Use black archival ink to stamp the mermaid. Add clear embossing powder to her and heat set.
7. Stamp the larger tropical plant stamp in a green color to use as a guide.
8. Use watercolor pencils to highlight the mermaid and plant. (the plant will appear to be watercolored by going over the stamp with watercolor pencil.)
9. Add blue Dew Drops using a strong clear glue.
10.Spray with the Art Anthology ice spray or other iridescent spray ink.
11. Add stickers as desired.

Thanks again for viewing my post!
