Graphic 45 Light Side VS. Dark Side October Challenge

Hello everyone!! Thanks so much for taking a look at my blog today!
I want to share my just for fun contribution to the October challenge #G45LightSide vs #G45DarkSide.
For my project I have created a folio  of each to represent both dark and light.  These are both 5 1/4"X5 1/4" and contain an accordion style page system inside that unfolds to display many photo mounts, tuck spots, and lots of room for your memories.
The collections used here are:
Midnight Tales
&
Fairie Dust

I have also used several Patterns & Solids from my stash of Graphic 45 6X6 pads.
Although Fairie Dust is an older collection the fabulous and beautiful Midnight Tales is still available. Just click on the photo below to be directed to the site.

I have used elements of every part of this collection for my accordion folio.

Here are some additional views of the light side folio using graphic 45 Fairy Dust.

Graphic 45 Christmas Time Pocket Cards

Hello everyone! Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today!
This is my absolute favorite time of year for crafting, The colors and Holiday papers are just very enjoyable!
Graphic 45 Christmas Time is a beautiful Christmas paper collection and today I have created a set of four fun pocket cards using the 8X8 paper Pad, Chipboards, and some goodies from my stash.
This collection is currently on sale at Graphic 45 too!!
For my cards, I have cut 2 black and 2 Kraft bases. These each measure 5"X12" and were scored (long wise) at 5" and 10". The last 2" folds up to create the pocket. These are a fairly simple style and can be created quite fast. The little pocket is great for gift cards, cash, or just a fun note to the receiver!
I have fussy cut some elements from the papers to embellish my cards along with the chipboards and some other stash goodies.

Graphic 45 Magic Halloween Display with "Midnight Tales"

Hello everyone! Today I am sharing a fun Halloween display I created using the amazing "Midnight Tales" from Graphic 45.
This project started as a simple set of three wooden pillar style candle holders that I purchased at a craft store.

Having this paper in mind, I knew I wanted to create a display piece.

Graphic 45 supplies used:

Other Supplies:
Distress Ink - Black Soot
Distress Collage Medium -  Matte
Wire
Black Gesso
Styrofoam pumpkins and Halloween tree sprig
Foam Adhesive squares and dots
Large wooden popsicle sticks (painted black)
Small battery operated tea lights (painted black)

I began by first painting the bare wood in black gesso and allowing it to dry completely.
Next, I fussy cut pumpkins from the 8X8 and 12X12 Pumpkin Patch sheets, A witch from 12X12 Midnight Tales sheet, and the adorable little fairies from 12X12 Fairy Mischief sheet. I then cut pieces for the bases. these were cut 1/8" smaller on all sides than the base. All edges were inked with Distress Ink in Black Soot.
For the pillars I cut pieces from the following papers in the 8X8 paper pad.
Fairy Mischief side B
Midnight Tales side B
For the tallest pillar I cut from the purple spiderweb sheet of the 12X12 Patterns and Solids paper pad.
The fairies with mushrooms and stamp images were cut from the 12X12 Midnight Tales Sheet
The Fairy on bat was fussy cut from the 12X12 Hallow's Eve sheet

After inking all of the edges of my pieces and fussy cuts I adhered the panel pieces on each side of the now black pillars. Once the glue was smoothed out I used a paintbrush and Matte Distress Collage Medium to coat them and let them dry. Once dry I added the Mushroom Fairy images and fussy cut stamps in the same way.

Once all of my pieces were dry, I began placing my fussy cuts. I used foam adhesive squares at different heights with my pieces for dimension.
I added flexible wire to the back of my witch and the little fairies to make them sturdy.
A large popsicle stick that was painted black was cut into three pieces and adhered to the back side of each pillar. These were used to adhere my witch, tree sprig, and some pumpkins to. The tiny mischievious fairies were added to the tree sprig using small dots of hot glue.

I just adore the whimsy of this paper and it is perfect for all of your Halloween projects!
For even more fun, I added battery operated tea lights!
