To begin, I cut the bases of my easels using ivory cardstock in a medium weight.
5 1/2" x 11 1/2" - Cut two
Place on scoring board and score at 2 3/4", 5 1/2", and 11. The last 1/2" is used to adhere the pocket.
For the pocket cut ivory cardstock 3" X 6 1/2" and score on both sides at 1/2". The 1/2" on each side will be the gussets which will adhere to the sides of the base. Repeat this for second card or as many cards as you are creating.
For the covers I cut two 51/2" X 5 1/2" from ivory cardstock.
*Note* - These will adhere to the bottom front 2 3/4" portion of the folded base.
Cuts for mattes and decorative papers
*Note* This cut guide is done per the way I decorated my cards using 2 mattes on my card fronts and pockets. This guide can be adjusted to your preferences.

Matte 2 - 2 3/4" X 5 1/4"

For the inserted tags I have used the Square Tags & Clocks die to cut the decorative pieces and adhered them to Graphic 45 Square Tags in kraft. I have also used the metal paper charm clips leaf charms to add a hanging embellishment to my tags.
All of my papers have been edged with Distress Ink in Vintage Photo.
Such a beautiful collection to create with!! I have used flowers, chipboards, stickers, and fussy cuts to embellish mine.

This is a beautiful collection of papers featuring images of all things Ocean. It is truly a favorite of mine.
As a designer I love all things paper crafts and I love to create albums, cards, folios, and home decor. When I am finished with my larger projects I always keep my scraps to create with later. It is amazing what you can do with those leftovers and scraps! let me share with you my process.
First I sort the scraps and leftover papers by size, starting with the larger pieces down to the smallest. Once I have them separated I set the larger ones that can be used for card fronts and mattes aside. Next I look through all of the smaller pieces and pick out those with beautiful images that I am able to fussy cut. I then fussy cut the images and place them in a container.
To create this beautiful trio I gathered up the scraps and fussy cuts along with 3 5x7 kraft card bases, Navy and Ivory cardstock, and some small things from my stash such as ribbon and chippies.
For this card I created a chipboard porthole wrapped with the papers and jute string. Fussy cuts were adhered at different levels using foam adhesive squares for dimension.
Card 2:
Navy Matte - 4 3/4 x 6 3/4
Ivory Matte - 4 1/2 X 6 1/2
Background - G45 Ocean Blue - Fiji - 4 1/4 X 3 1/2
G45 Ocean Blue - Antigua - 4 1/4 X 3 1/2
These two were placed on top and bottom and wrapped with a canvas/starfish ribbon and adhered to the base.
A Kraft ATC Tag covered in G45 Ocean Blue Capri, fussy cuts, and a sticker sentiment.
Card 3:
Navy Matte - 4 3/4 x 6 3/4
This card background was made using strips of various sizes of the scraps and a 4 5/8" X 2 1/4 strip of Capri along the bottom. These were brought together in the middle with a strip of braided jute and the paper flowers were placed along with fussy cuts and a framed cutaway sentiment card.
Inside the cards:
Navy Matte - 4 3/4 x 6 3/4
Ivory Matte - 4 1/2 X 6 1/2
Strips from the G45 Ocean Blue cutaways
What a fun way to use scraps!! I hope you agree and will create something beautiful with yours today too!
Thanks so much for visiting my blog and viewing my post today.

Jenn

Hello everyone! Today I would like to share the project I have created for the Graphic 45 2020 Brand Ambassador Audition. Graphic 45 is one of my favorite paper companies. There papers and other products are beautiful and there are so many options for using them to create paper projects. It would be a dream come true to have the honor of becoming a Brand Ambassador for Graphic 45. For my audition I have made an album and card set using the beautiful "By The Sea" collection. This is truly one of my favorites! I love all of the elements that can be fussy cut from this beautiful collection. I hope you enjoy my project!
I have used the 12 X 12 Deluxe Collector's Edition and the 8 X 8 pad.
Instructions for creating this easel card:
1.Start by cutting two 8 1/2" X 11" sheets of Navy Cardstock to 5 1/2" X 11".
2.Place 1/2" score tape on edge and adhere the two 5 1/2" X 11" together. This will become a 5 1/2" X 21 1/2" piece.
3.Place lengthwise on score board and score at 2 3/4".
4.Score at 5 1/2".
5.Score at 11".
6.Fold at 11" score line and place line at beginning of score board. Score at 5 1/2" and then at 8 1/2". Cut off excess and set aside.
7.Cut:
1 - Navy 5 1/2" X 5 1/2"
2 Ivory 5 1/4" X 5 1/2"
2 Light Blue 5 1/8" X 5 1/8"
1 Patterned 5" Topper Matte
8.Fussy cut some sea shells, the lighthouse scene with beach kids, By The Sea words, and the woman from the designer papers. Set aside.
9.Make a couple of frames using chipboard and wrap them in patterned papers.
10.Cut a piece of patterned paper for above the inside pocket. This should measure 5" by 2 1/4" to 2 1/2" depending how far down inside the pocket you prefer it to go.
11.For inside pocket cover cut a piece of patterned paper to 2 7/8" X 5 3/8".
12.Cut a strip of navy cardstock 1 1/2" X 5 3/8" and a banner strip from the paper collection. (I used the By The Sea strip). Choose a chipboard element to hold the easel.
13.Inside assembly: cut 2 1" X 2 3/4" strips of scrap paper. Score them both at 1/2" and fold in half. These will create gussets for the sides of the pocket to make more space.
14.First adhere the mats in order Ivory, Light Blue, Patterned. Next place gussets on the sides of the pocket fold facing out and adhere to the pocket. Add glue to gussets and fold up to make pocket.
15.Adhere the cut out pocket cover, Navy Strip and By The Sea strip. Use foam adhesive squares to adhere the chipboard piece.
16.Use the G45 Ivory Tags with scraps to embellish and create a tag for the pocket. My tag also has it's own pocket for a gift card to be added.
17.Add a piece of jute to the bottom for added decor.
18.Front assembly. Fold the 2 3/4" scoreline in. Place score tape on the 2 3/4" flap.
19.Assemble the topper. Adhere mattes in order, Ivory, Light Blue, patterned.
20.Remove score tape backing from flap and place the assembled topper with the bottom portion on the score tape. Be sure to line this up as evenly as possible to ensure the easel stands well.
21.Add flowers, frames, and fussy cuts. Be sure that your embellishments do not overlap the topper too much or they will bend when standing.
