celebrating a new Illustrator!
I did a fun journal page using the Reflections stamp. I just love this new stamp!! Her facial expression is
priceless. I created this journal page by first applying clear gesso and
allowing it to dry. I then used a paint and stencil technique by brushing on
paint in an area and then laying down a stencil and wiping through it with a
damp baby wipe. This creates the pattern. Doing this several times creates a
very interesting dimensional background. The stamp was applied with black
archival ink, clear embossed and heat set. I added some light blue marker to her
eyes and clear embossed them as well as pink marker to her lips and again
embossed but this time with an iridescent pink powder. I stamped the Namaste
stamp using black archival ink and embossed with clear embossing powder. I
added a little more texture around the page edges using Rita’s Art Foamie candy
stamp. I just lightly inked it with black archival ink and stamped lightly.
